March 10, 2016

Virgin Media was the best performing, fast-connection broadband provider, according to figures released by BroadbandChoices.co.uk

The new research found that Virgin Media offers an average broadband speed of 11Mbps, and that customers generally received 55.1 per cent of their promised speed.

Be Broadband, which offers 20.9 Mbps, the fastest service currently available, was placed behind Virgin Media because Be Broadband’s average customer only received 33.4 per cent of the promised 20.9 Mbps.

Sky Broadband was the only other company to provide speeds of over 8Mbps.

Virgin Media has started upgrading all of its 4Mb customers to 10Mb connections, free of charge.
